Connor's favorite teacher, Mrs. Badger, selected him for the 'Bobcat Pride Award".  He was invited to a special lunch with the teachers in recognition for his award.

Christmas LIghts

Saturday, 6 December 2008 13:01 by rbaine

Well, we thought we would go "green" this year for XMas and put up LED lights.  They supposedly require 90% less electricity to operate... after fighting with the ladder, and hanging the lights, the time came for the big reveal.  About the only thing I can say is, Santa would NOT stop at our house if I left those lights up.  The best description I can give is the lighting used in the horror movie Saw!!!  They were the worst looking lights I have ever seen... so after 5 minuites, I unplugged them, took them down, and returned them.  The following our new light display.  Trying to get away from the standard white icicle light look... this is what we came up with.

Santa Rosa Plateau

Saturday, 29 November 2008 09:02 by rbaine

Ended up going for a 5.5 mile hike around the Santa Rosa Plateau today... beatuiful day, mid 60' warm in the sun... Connor and Mitch had a great time.  The recent rain made the air fresh and clean and the soil damp and dustless.  We didn't see too many people on the trail.  I was hoping there might be some water in the vernal pools, but it was just mud.  I can't wait to come back in early spring to see the pools full!
